A night of records! After a successful league race this week the Freshman, Sophomore and JV teams laced up their shoes for another race under the lights at the Temecula Twilight Invitational at Galway Downs on Saturday night. On this fast grass and dirt looped course the Mustangs outdid themselves with an overwhelming amount of PRs and strong finishes! Congrats to our JV Girls team who finished first overall, led by Kailey Cook (19:32) and Roxanne Fournier (19:41). Teammates challenged each other to push their limits with neck & neck finishes from JV girls Kaylee Worrell (19:58.2) and Victoria Campbell (19:58.4).  The Freshman Boys were paced by Kayden Goto (18:31.3) and Tyler Yang (18:31.8). Mark Jorgenson (19:10) led our Sophomore Boy’s race and Lucy Carter led the Sophomore Girls racing the clock for an impressive finish at 19:59. Sophomore Stephen Sundvold took the lead for our JV Boys finishing at 17:26, followed by impressive races from Jacob Shatzman (18:05) and Zack Moody (18:11). Freshman Sydney Rome (20:37) led the Freshman Girls with an amazing finish herself. Overall, the night was one to remember for the Frosh/Soph and JV runners making the Varsity team, who came to cheer them on, wish they had a chance at this fun and fast course! Congratulations Mustangs!
