Our athletes arrived at the Pomona Fairplex under cloudy skies and humid conditions for the ASICS Cool Breeze Invitational. By the evening races, the temps had cooled a bit for a terrific showing for all teams.
Our Varsity Women’s Team consisted of Sarina Patel, Penelope Fournier, Olivia Reed, Brooke Boyd, Mackenzie Dalton, Isabella Wroblewski and Kathryn Thompson. The team came in 1st place overall and Olivia Reed was fourth in the D 3-4-5 race with a time of 18:39. Congratulations to Isabella Wroblewski and Kathryn Thompson who ran in their first high school race on varsity as freshmen!
Our Varsity Men’s Team consisted of Adrian Wellmeyer, Mason Farley, Jacob Ortillano, Kaayan Savalia, Daniel Chang, Toren Habbestad and Dante Maldonado. They placed 3rd in with Dante Maldonado coming in 7th place over all at a time of 16:12 in the D-3-4-5 race.
Congratulations to our JV Women: Rory Hartzheim and Sydney LeBrun. Sydney LeBrun came in 2nd place overall in the D-3-4-5 JV race with a time of 21:44.
And congrats to our JV men: Taylor Stivers, Connor Griffin, Brent Jorgensen, Jack Karcher and Riley Yoon.
